Footzone is one of several shops in Bend that is helping support COTA efforts with the new Wangoa trail network. We’re hoping to make some real progress toward completing the 30 miles of trail already approved for construction. Footzone will be hosting the trailwork every 1st Thursday night every month all summer long! The more volunteers we get, the sooner we’ll be riding some awesome new trails right here in Bend!
Interested? Of course you are! Sign up by stopping in or calling (ph#541-317-3568) Footzone. We’ll meet at the store at 5:30 PM. We’ll meet there and carpool to the work site. COTA will supply the tools and the “expertise”. You just need to show up ready to help build trail.
You need to bring/wear:
long pants
boots or sturdy footwear
eye protection (riding glasses with light lenses)
gloves
hydration pack with water and a snack.
We’ll work till around 8 or 8:30 getting back into town around 8:30 to 9.
Please let us know you’re coming so we know whether we’re bringing tools for 5 or 50 volunteers.
Leaving Bend for the summer? We are very dependable, clean and honest home owners. We are willing to rent your place, house-sit, or do a home exchange in downtown Ashland for July and August. We are runners and our quiet, high-school daughter will be attending the MBSEF xc ski camp this summer. We do have a well-behaved dog, Emmet. We are very good friends with Maura & Stan (CORK members in Madras). They house-sat for us last summer, so can tell you about our home (and dog) if you are interested in an exchange. Please contact Maura for more information. 541.475.0348 or monstan@hotmail.com Thanks, Adrienne, Sam and Haley

I’m trying to contact Nate Christiansen. I meet Nate a few weekends ago at the Bad Ass 50K. He gave me his phone number so that we could connect for a run. I’ve lost his phone number. Does anyone know a contact number or an e-mail address.
Thanks,
Trevor
Hi, I’m Lisa. I’m moving to Bend, as of December 1st. Looking for running partners for early morning runs (6am) from Athletic Club of Bend. Run approximately 6 miles daily, 10-13 on weekends. Training pace 9:30+min./mile.
If interested, please email me: leezatrigirl@yahoo.com
Looking forward to running in the cool Bend desert air, as opposed to Tucson desert air!
