Little Foot Running Club
Geared towards our youngest runners, this program focuses on fun. Practices are built around games, relay races, and obstacle courses. Running is used as a backdrop, keeping the kids moving without them even realizing they are “running.” These kids have a blast!
Spring 2017 Season
Hi everyone. My name is Samantha Lee and I’m the head coordinator for this Fall’s Little Foot. We are still looking for volunteer coaches to help out. The more volunteers that sign up, the larger registration can be. Please contact me if interested: email@example.com. Thank you and we look forward to having your child participate with us this spring!
Anticipated registration opening date: April 3, 2017
Starts: Monday, May 1, 2017
Ends: Wednesday, May 31, 2017
Time: Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15- 5:15
Cost: $15/child – CORK (Central Oregon Running Klub) Little Foot Membership
Ages: 6 – 11 years old
Membership Includes: Logo’d t-shirt and a water bottle (limit one per child per year).
Location: Bend Pine Nursery Park. We meet at the big grassy area just after the round-a-bout, near the new bathrooms on the left as you drive into the park. PLEASE PARK IN THE PARKING LOTS, NOT ALONG THE FIELD. Bend Parks and Rec has asked us not to park in the grass, and your car will be towed!
Please do not just drop your kids off at the first practice. We will have a sign in sheet that you will need to sign and provide emergency contact information. We will also be handing out T-shirts and water bottles to those who did not participate in the fall session.
Due to overwhelming numbers in past sessions, we’ve officially had to cap the number of participants corresponding to the number of volunteer coaches. We need everyone safe and well watched. We do not have an official registration cap to date, as we are still hoping for interested volunteers to come forward.
If your child is over age 11, please consider one of our other CORK Youth programs! We’re happy so many are interested, but we don’t want to overwhelm our volunteer coaches and we want to provide a safe environment for the kids. The age limit will be strictly enforced out of safety for the littlest participants. All coaches have passed USATF background checks.
Please be advised, we are instituting a 3 Strike Rule: If your child is asked to sit out due to poor behavior three times, you will be asked not to bring that child back to Little Foot the remainder of the season.
If you have questions, or are interested in being an assistant coach, please contact Samantha Lee, firstname.lastname@example.org.
