Bend’s Oldest Foot Race

A runners fall right of passage, the Bigfoot race has been a staple on runners calendars since 1976. A fast “downhill” course from the outskirts of Bend down Century Drive into the heart of the Old Mill, Bigfoot has aided many a runner to a quick 10k PR.

The course in its third year will start at the Cascade Lakes Welcome Center and wind downhill on the bike path and connect to the Deschutes River Trail finishing at Riverbend Park. This half pavement half smooth wide trail is a fun, fast and scenic course with nearly 500 ft of elevation loss

As Bend’s oldest foot race be sure to put this on your race calendar.

LITTLEFOOT

After the big kids run, it’s the little kids turn! Runners aged 5-10 are welcome to compete in our fun mini race. This will be a shorter multilap race around the park for the youngest runners.

The Littlefoot Kids Race will start at 10:20am at Riverbend Park using a grass loop between 1/2 and 1 mile long. We have a special inflatable for the kids this year!!! Advanced online registration is not needed, simply show up and we'll get the kids signed up with a $5 suggested donation.

The Bigfoot 10k is a fundraiser for the Bend-La Pine School Cross Country teams. All proceeds of the race go straight to the cross country teams for travel, equipment, and other needs. To date the Bend Bigfoot 10k has donated over $50,000 to local programs.
