Practices: With the revised middle school schedules this year practice times need to be adjusted to start later but this creates issues with enough daylight after daylight savings. We have created a schedule that we hope will work for most of you with later start times, a day at Farewell Bend Park with lit pathways, and an early start day on Wednesday since everyone has early release that day. I know that this is going to create special logistical challenges for some of you as well but we feel like this is the best solution with the later middle school release times.

UPDATED DATES, TIMES, LOCATIONS:

Coaches – Max King, Casey Campbell (TBD)

Ages – 8* – 15 yrs (*younger/elementary kids, and/or kids unable to complete a standard workout may require additional parent involvement in order to participate)

Practices will involve a group warm-up, stretching/drills, a “workout” (intervals, hills, long run), strength conditioning, and sometimes games. Coaching advice regarding team work, sportsmanship, leadership, running form, nutrition, pacing, hydration, etc. will be incorporated as well. Average total distance in practice will be 4miles. We focus on keeping the atmosphere fun, while building skills to aid in a competitive XC season. All kids with a passion for running and willingness to try/work hard are welcome.
